A. Nicky Samonte, LCSW, ACSW, CFSW is a licensed clinical social worker who focuses on individuals’ strengths. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University, New York, where she was inducted into Psi Chi, The International Honor Society of Psychology. She then received her master’s degree from The Fordham Graduate School of Social Services.
Nicky started her career in healthcare in 2009, gaining experience in private, state, and federal settings. Although she is knowledgeable in treating severe mental illnesses, co-occurring disorders, and behavioral health conditions, Nicky’s current focus is on promoting mental, sexual, and financial wellness in adults. Nicky is an empowering match for individuals who are looking for sex positivity and poly-inclusion.
She offers therapeutic services related to concerns including anxiety, gender norms, life transitions, polyfidelity, self-care, and sexual orientation. In addition to her formal education and diagnostic work, she obtained distinct certifications in financial social work and parenting. Nicky has previously offered individual therapy to children, counseling to dyads, and facilitated group therapy.
Nicky is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is recognized by the Academy of Certified Social Workers as a professional who meets national standards in experience and knowledge. She is also on the Medical Review Board at U.S. News & World Report.
