Jennifer L. Brower, MDiv, MHC Intern
Jennifer L. Brower is a Master’s-level Mental Health Counseling Intern at the Long Island Institute of Sex Therapy. With over 25 years of experience in ministry, including pastoral care and counseling, she brings a deep understanding of human relationships and spiritual well-being to her work.
Prior to her current role, Jennifer served as an Associate Chaplain at Northwell Health System, providing spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. She also held the position of Minister for Pastoral Care at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock for 20 years, where she supported individuals and families navigating life’s challenges, including grief, loss, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.
Jennifer holds a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University. She is enrolled in the Master of Mental Health Counseling program at CUNY Hunter. She is also a Fellow in Thanatology with the Association for Death Education and Counseling and a Certified Professional Life Coach.
Jennifer is passionate about helping individuals and couples explore and address the complexities of sexuality and intimacy within a compassionate and affirming environment.
